How do I use mockDash?

Drop or click to upload any screenshot, pick a device frame — iPhone, Browser, or MacBook — and a color style, then hit Download PNG. The framed image is rendered at 2× resolution for sharp, retina-quality output. No sign-up, no watermark, no limit on how many you make.

What is a device mockup generator?

A device mockup generator wraps your screenshots in a realistic device frame — like an iPhone, browser window, or MacBook — so they look polished in presentations, portfolios, app store listings, and social media posts. Instead of showing a raw screenshot, you show it sitting inside the device your users actually see it on.

Which frame should I choose?

Use iPhone for mobile app screenshots, product demos, or anything portrait-oriented. Use Browser for website screenshots, SaaS dashboards, or web app UIs — it adds a realistic Chrome-style tab bar and address bar. Use MacBook for wide-format screenshots, landing page visuals, or any desktop-first product.

What makes a good screenshot for a mockup?

High-resolution PNGs work best — ideally at the native resolution of the target device. Avoid screenshots with existing browser chrome or device frames already baked in, since the frame will be doubled up. The cleaner and higher-res the source, the sharper the final mockup. For iPhone, a full-screen screenshot from the device itself gives the best result.

What image formats can I upload?

mockDash accepts any image your browser can display — PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, and SVG. For sharpest results use a high-resolution PNG screenshot at native device resolution.

What resolution is the downloaded PNG?

mockDash renders at 2× scale for sharp, retina-quality output. For the iPhone frame that means a 786×1704 px canvas before the screenshot is composited in. Browser and MacBook dimensions scale with your uploaded screenshot, capped at 900px wide to keep file sizes manageable.

Can I use this for App Store screenshots?

Yes. The iPhone frame renders at a high enough resolution for App Store submission. For best results upload a screenshot taken at the target device's native resolution — the frame will scale your image to fit, so starting sharper means the result is sharper.

Is my screenshot kept private?

Yes. Your image never leaves your device. All compositing happens on a local HTML5 canvas element — nothing is uploaded to any server, ever. You can even use mockDash offline once the page has loaded.
